Going Green
Doc’s Clock has been officially certified as a San Francisco Green Business!
Until I come up with some fancy chart graphic, here’s what we have done to become green:
- We have implemented a composting and recycling program to reduce waste
- Cocktail napkins and hand towels made from 100% recycled paper
- Use straws are compostable, made from corn
- Promote local/ organic/ sustainable products
- Use environmentally friendly cleaning products
- Reduced our water consumption by installing new faucets and a low flow urinal
- Replaced our lighting with more energy efficient options
- We do not sell plastic water bottles
What you can do to go green:
- Drink green and local products
- Turn off lights when not in use
- Replace regular light bulbs with energy saving CFL’s
- Recycle and compost
- Turn your computer monitor off instead of leaving the screen saver on
- Use rechargeable electronics
- Copy or print on both sides of a sheet of paper
- Recycle florescent bulbs properly to prevent mercury from entering the environment
- Recycle or donate used electronic items – Goodwill accepts most items
- Buy green products
